Ponyhound G (he/it) is an Asian switch. He lives with his slavebear, coaches a beta dog, dominates an ex-military K-9, serves MASTER as HIS dog, and is trained by a Handler as Their workhorse/service animal. With a flair for both dominance and submission, G navigates the dance of power dynamics with the agility of a seasoned equine and the playful exuberance of a canine.

G’s journey to the United States began as an international student, a voyage that would soon lead to an unexpected yet serendipitous encounter. Before his college orientation, G saw a half-clad individual, adorned with a dog collar, crawling on all fours in the backyard of the LGBT program house. This fortuitous meeting affirmed that G had indeed made the right decision in crossing the globe.

In 2010, G attended his first kink event in the New York Bondage Club, which ignited a fervor within him akin to a greyhound at the starting gate. Since then, G has immersed himself in the vibrant energy of BDSM communities, exploring long-held fantasies and refining his skills as a versatile player.

G has more clubs than a golf bag! As a member of the 15 Association, Delta Brotherhood International, the Chicago Hellfire Club, Chicago Pet Patrol, Windy City Pups and Handlers, and a co-founder of Chicago Region Active Champions of Single-Tails (CRACS), G likes to instigate all kinds of troubles. But G’s not just chasing its tail; it has been on a mission to make kink space as inclusive as a treat jar at a big ol' dog park.

Confronting racism within these spaces, G co-created Chicago Kinky Asians (CKA) during the COVID lockdown, a support group for Asian-identified kinksters of diverse genders, sexual orientations, cultural backgrounds, and abilities. The group has continued to grow; today it hosts monthly socials, maintains an active chatroom, and organizes events during major conventions, including an “invAsian” of the IML Leather Market in 2024.

Over the years, G has donned many hats (and perhaps a few collars), serving as an event organizer, dungeon monitor, community handler, workshop leader, demonstrator, and discussant at esteemed events such as CLAW, Midwest Furfest, MIR, and the Chicago Fetish Weekend. In 2024, G had the honor of judging the International Puppy and Trainer Contest (IPTC) and International Mr. Leather, witnessing the historic crowning of the first pup titleholder as the 46th IML.

Beyond his community service, G advocates for the recognition of pet players within the kink world and beyond. He has presented papers and led panels on pet play at academic conferences, contributing to the scholarly discourse on how animality affects human identity and sexuality. As a historian, G curated an exhibition on modern pup play at the Leather Archives and Museum (LA&M) in 2023. After all, pet players deserve to mark their territory in the history of kink!

While G’s chosen family spans borders, he’s made his den in Chicagoland, sharing his home with his slavebear and two bio-cats—it’s just a regular animal house!
